The Great Loop Journey

There’s a certain pull to the water that’s hard to explain – part freedom, part curiosity, and part the simple desire to see what’s around the next bend. For us, that pull is leading to America’s Great Loop.

In early 2027, after purchasing our trawler in March 2026 and transitioning into full-time liveaboards, we’ll begin this incredible journey – traveling thousands of miles through rivers, lakes, canals, and coastal waterways across the eastern United States.

But for us, this isn’t about rushing from point A to point B.

It’s about slowing down.
It’s about stepping off the boat and into the places we visit.
It’s about experiencing each destination in a way that feels real.

We’ll be working, living, and exploring full-time onboard while continuing to run Sundowner Travel – proving that you don’t have to choose between a career and a life of adventure.

And here’s something we want to be clear about from the start…

You don’t need to be rich.
You don’t need to be retired.
You don’t even need to have owned a boat before.

There are courses that teach navigation.
You gain confidence by doing.
Boat maintenance and repairs? You learn those as you go, too.

What we’re getting at is simple – if this life is calling to you… you can do it.

This is more than a route.

It’s a lifestyle.
